Driving Instructor Requirements

Here's a good article I found about Driving Instructor Training requirements that I thought was worth sharing. I'm learning a lot about how different each state is when it comes to getting certified as a driving instructor. It's really crazy how different every state is in this federalist country of ours, but I guess that's how our founding fathers wanted it!

Driving Schools in Mass

Looking for a driving school in Massachusetts? Here's the list.

I recommend the Andover Auto School, which is located on 89 Main Street in Andover, MA
There's just something about a business located on main street, USA :)

Also, here's a great list of things to do in Boston, in case you're stoping by there on the way to Andover.

How to Drive a Stick

Trying to figure out how to drive a stick shift? The Driving Instructor Training University has a great post (previous link) on how and WHY should learn to do it. Especially if you're an adult, and have never learned before, taking a class from a certified professional for 40 or 50 dollars will really be worth it.

My favorite point in that post is that people need to learn because of the possibility of driving in Europe. European cars almost all have a stick shift (over 80%!!) and if you can't drive one you basically will never be able to drive a car in Europe. Sure, you don't need a car in Paris, Rome, or London, but you'll really want to drive around and see the countryside if you can get out of the city.

Seriously, do it, go take a course and learn to drive a stick!!
